FFT National Attendance Award
Woodstock Primary Academy recognised as one of England’s most improved schools for attendance
Woodstock Primary Academy has received a National School Attendance Award from FFT for the 2025/26 academic year.
The award places the school in the top 10% of most improved FFT primary schools in England!
FFT is an independent education data provider. It collects daily attendance figures from more than 10,000 schools across the country, which allows schools to track and compare their attendance week by week. Many of its awards go to the schools with the highest attendance. This one recognises the schools whose attendance has improved the most, and it places Woodstock among the leading tenth of primary schools nationally.
Every day in school matters. It is a day of learning, play and friendship, and the benefits build up over the years. At Woodstock, we work hard to make school a place our learners are excited to come to each morning.
Our FREE breakfast club opens at 07:45am every school day. Learners can enjoy a healthy breakfast with their friends and settle in calmly before lessons begin. For many families, it also makes the morning routine a little easier. On Friday mornings, the whole school starts the day with Wake and Shake, a lively burst of music and movement that gets everyone smiling and ready to learn. Small things like these help learners feel happy and part of the school, and that makes a real difference to attendance.
This award belongs to our learners, who have shown great commitment, and to our families, whose support has been so important. Our staff have also played their part by making sure every learner feels welcome from the moment they arrive.
Louise Stapleford, Principal, said: “We are so proud of our learners and families. Coming to school every day helps children grow in confidence, and it has been wonderful to see attendance rise across the school. A special thanks to our Vice Principal Neil Weaver who leads on Attendance here at Woodstock and always goes above and beyond for our learners. We look forward to building on this together.”
